I find that nature allows me to breathe, and it provides a unique sense of calm. My art tries to capture and hold this breath—whether through digital means like Photoshop or traditional materials like paint. Each piece reflects my connection to God the Creator, who inspires my creativity.
While some of my art portrays moments as they are, others blend an imagined world with the reality before me. An example of this is a series of composite images that I created. I took images of different rooms and locations and added in elements that were not actually there. The desire to capture the life of mundane places and to depict people and things based on how they feel rather than how they appear, drives many of my pieces. I like to experiment with a variety of media, which allows me to continually discover new perspectives. With each artwork I create, I invite others to join me in finding peace in nature and joy in the everyday.
